Training

Acquiring new professions

Given the shortage of working professions in the labor market, the plant employs staff without work experience. Such employees can acquire the profession required by the company through mentoring, training or coaching. Thus, after six months of training, the "beginners" become independent and in-demand specialists.

Mentoring

The mentoring system has been in place at "Ural Locomotives" since the company was founded and has proven its effectiveness. About 100 employees per year undergo mentoring, including those who have been transferred to new professions. Mentors are employees with extensive experience who are ready to share it. They receive financial incentives for their work. The programs are designed for each profession and specific production.

Professional development

Personnel undergoes training in specialized educational institutions: training centers, universities, and also within the enterprise according to its own programs. On average, about 2,000 employees complete professional development in a year.

70 internal training and advanced training programs have been developed, with 136 company specialists involved as instructors. "Ural Locomotives" plant has concluded a number of agreements with specialized (railway and mechanical engineering) and technical institutions of higher and secondary professional education on cooperation in the field of training personnel for the enterprise.

Professional Competencies Development Center

The Ural Locomotives plant has a license for educational activities in the field of additional professional education.

The plant's Professional Competencies Development Center includes a welders' school, which has been operating since 2014, and a gluing workshop, which opened in the year 2023.

At the school of welders, under the guidance of a job training instructor specialists are trained and certified according to programs specially developed for each production site.

The gluing training workshop is equipped with the necessary equipment and materials, its instructors are specialists of the company with the necessary qualifications, an international diploma and practical experience. In the future, it is planned to open a workshop for painting and electrical installation training in the Center.

Since April 2025, the Professional Competencies Development Center will be able to independently conduct advanced training for its employees and on a commercial basis for employees of third-party organizations for the occupations of "Assembler-Gluer of Structures", " Technical Gluing Specialist" and "Technical Gluing Engineer".

There are plans to license welding training programs.
