Electric Trains Production
"Ural Locomotives" was the first company in Russia to produce higher-speed passenger electric trains for railways electrified with direct and alternating current
"Ural Locomotives" is the only company in Russia where train cars are made of aluminum. This ensures the corrosion resistance of the body, a 30% reduction in weight and a high speed of up to 160 km/h.
Robotic welding machines allow connecting aluminum panels up to 25 meters long with uniformly high seam quality along the entire length.
Aluminum components are prepared at milling and turning machining centers, as well as on waterjet cutting machines. The walls, floor, roof and end elements are assembled into a whole body on stands with semi-automatic welding, after which it is transferred for painting.
The car is moved between the production stages using a traverser. Two-component environmentally friendly water-based materials are used for painting. The body is prepared in a sandblasting chamber, after which a primer is applied.

Painting is carried out in stages in paint-drying chambers: first, a fire-resistant and noise-insulating coating is applied, then a decorative one according to the assigned color scheme. The painted body is sent for pre-installation.
At the assembly shop, the car goes through several stages: installation of doors, installation of thermal insulation, toilet module elements and auto couplings. Then the windows are installed using a unique gluing technology, rooftop equipment and cables are installed. At the final installation site, the inner lining and the front mask are installed, which is attached to the body of the head car with a special adhesive sealant. After that, bogies are rolled under the car.
After installation, the cars undergo testing: their weight is measured, electrical connection, insulation and tightness are checked. The cars are connected to the train, the brakes and door actuators are checked. The assembled trains undergo commissioning before being shipped to the customer.
