2ES7 two-section freight electric locomotive fitted with asynchronous traction motors is intended for hauling freight trains on 1,520 mm gauge railways electrified with alternating current voltage of 25 kV.

2ES7 locomotive is capable of hauling a train weighing up to 9,000 tons on sections with a track profile of up to 8.2 0/00, which is confirmed by operational tests. It is well adapted to operate in climatic conditions with large drops of temperature and regions with rough track profile.

Electric locomotives are operated on the transport network and regularly undergo warranty and after-sales service.

Years of production: 2013-2021

Advantage

The MPSUiD, microprocessor-based control system, includes the functions of auto guidance, diagnostics, data transmission via operational radio communication channels, parameter registration, GPS/GLONASS positioning
Integrated asynchronous traction drive based on traction converters with IGBT transistor modules ensures high traction power
Specific consumption of electric power for train traction less by 15-20% compared to electric locomotives with commutator drive
Inter-repair mileage increased by 5 times in relation to electric locomotives with commutator drive
