Malachite (2ES8, 3ES8)
The Malachite Freight Mainline Electric Locomotive is designed for hauling freight trains on 1520 mm gauge railways.
This is the first Russian-made direct current freight electric locomotive fitted with asynchronous traction drive.
Malachite is the base platform for a new series of locomotives:
• 2ES11 AC Freight Electric Locomotive
• 3ES12 Dual-Voltage Freight Electric Locomotive
Electric locomotives are operated on the transport network and regularly undergo warranty and after-sales service.
Advantage
